A brilliant move by a Memphis patriot just embarrassed CNN live on air. The network was doing a report about President Trump’s crime crackdown in the blue city. One resident had other plans.

Trump is making good on his promise to make America safer. He sent in the National Guard to assist local law enforcement. Memphis is a blue-run city in a red state. Crime has been out of control.

During the CNN live broadcast, the reporter was talking about Trump’s move. Then a person showed up carrying a large sign. The sign had messages on both sides.

The reporter kept trying to do his report. But the patriot just kept moving. He made sure his sign got in the shot several times.

The CNN reporter shared some numbers from the crackdown. “More than 50 arrests were made just last night” after operations started. He also said “Twenty guns have been taken off the street in the last 24 hours.”

Finally, he had to acknowledge the sign-carrying patriot. He couldn’t ignore it anymore.

“You see people like this guy, behind me with the sign. He has it on both sides… He’s hoping that this action by Trump will help make the city safer.”

The CNN reporter then showed a clip. They had talked to a neighbor who welcomed Trump’s move.

This is a brilliant move by this Memphis resident. Very clever. This is how you get legacy media to report what’s actually happening. Not what they decide is happening in their liberal bubbles.

Earlier in the day, Attorney General Pam Bondi reflected on the success. The Memphis Safe Task Force is made up of multiple federal agencies.

“In just 48 hours, our Memphis Safe Task Force has made 53 arrests and seized 20 illegal firearms. Yesterday, a missing juvenile was located and three firearms were recovered at the home of a murder suspect. At @POTUS direction, we are making America safe again!”

Later Wednesday, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth traveled to Memphis. He praised the law enforcement agencies involved in fighting crime.

“I just cannot thank you enough for what you do, what you do in difficult places, in dark places, in dangerous places where politicians spend a lot of time second-guessing you.”

Hegseth continued his praise for law enforcement.

“Second-guessing the impossible decisions you have to make that they will never understand. We’re not here to second-guess you; we’re here to have your back. To unleash you to do your job so you come home safely.”

He explained the department’s mission clearly.

“Our department is here to enable you, law enforcement, to do your job. To help protect your facilities, help protect your people, so… that your hands can be untied to secure your city. The Tennessee National Guard is going to be right here having your back.”

Trump’s move comes after massive success in Washington, D.C. He enacted the federalization of local law enforcement in the nation’s capital. The result was crushing violent crime.

The Memphis patriot with the sign understood something important. CNN was trying to frame Trump’s crime crackdown negatively. They wanted to make it look like federal overreach. They wanted to suggest residents didn’t want the help.

But the sign told the truth. Democrats destroyed Memphis. Crime spiraled out of control under their leadership. Now residents are thanking Trump for stepping in.
