Musk Vows Legal Action Over CNN ‘Nazi’ Smear

Elon Musk, tech titan and key figure in the Trump administration, fired off a legal warning Friday after former Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman unleashed a barrage of insults during a CNN roundtable Thursday night.

“I’ve had enough. Lawsuit inbound,” Musk posted to X, signaling his intent to challenge Bowman’s televised tirade.

Bowman, ousted in last July’s Democratic primary amid antisemitic controversies and a Capitol stunt that led to a criminal conviction, didn’t hold back on CNN. “And how do we know? Because they fired tens of thousands of people, it was challenged in court. The court said the people have to go back, and now the people are coming back. He’s incompetent, he’s a thief, he’s a Nazi, and people don’t trust him, period,” he told the panel, painting Musk as a villain—Republicans argue it’s a baseless smear from a faded politico desperate for relevance.

Host Abby Phillip stepped in to temper the rant. “Former Congressman Bowman, I just have to say, just a second, I just have to say, your opinion about Elon Musk is your opinion about Elon Musk,” she clarified, distancing CNN from the outburst.

“It is my opinion,” Bowman replied, owning his attack despite its shaky footing.

The “Nazi” jab isn’t new—left-wing media previously accused Musk of a “Nazi salute” on Inauguration Day, a claim debunked when he explained, “My heart goes out to you,” after slapping his heart and extending his arm. The ADL even conceded it was “awkward” but not malevolent—yet Bowman’s reviving the tired trope.

“His mother, Maye Musk, called on her son to sue CNN and other outlets for peddling the ‘Nazi salute’ narrative,” Fox News reported, adding fuel to a family fed up with slander.

Support for Musk’s legal threat rolled in fast from GOP heavyweights. “Sue him! Defamation against conservatives can’t go unaddressed or it will never end,” Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) urged from his personal account, reflecting a party stance that tolerating such attacks only emboldens more.

“Fight back!” Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) cheered, amplifying the call for pushback—Republicans see this as a line in the sand against baseless vilification.

“Accusing people of crimes is not protected opinion. CNN is putting itself at risk of liability for bringing on guests who repeat potentially defamatory claims unchallenged,” journalist Andy Ngo weighed in, pointing to legal peril for outlets amplifying Bowman’s rhetoric—82 percent speech approval from Trump’s March 4 address shows voters back leaders who don’t flinch.

For Americans who value fair play, this is a breath of fresh air—Musk’s not letting slander slide, and Republicans argue it’s about time someone stood up to the left’s smear machine—97 percent GOP approval backs a leadership that fights, not folds.

This isn’t just a spat—it’s a test of whether reckless attacks face consequences. Republicans trust Trump’s team to back Musk—Bowman’s words aren’t just noise; they’re a liability.

America’s watching a titan take a stand—Musk’s not bowing to Bowman’s rant, and Republicans relish this—truth and accountability matter, and we’re here for it!
