Roger Stone Calls for Arrest of John Brennan: ‘Time to Scoop Him Up’

During an interview in Tampa, longtime political adviser Roger Stone made a fiery appeal to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, calling for the arrest of former CIA Director John Brennan. Stone labeled Brennan an “arrogant criminal” and accused him of everything from abusing surveillance powers to pushing the infamous Steele dossier in a calculated attempt to undermine Donald Trump’s presidency.

Stone didn’t hold back. He listed Brennan’s alleged offenses: signing visas for some of the 9/11 hijackers, spying on the Senate Intelligence Committee, backing the dossier to fuel Crossfire Hurricane, and misleading the intelligence community under the Obama administration. “Why hasn’t he been arrested?” Stone asked, before urging Bondi directly: “It’s time, Pam, to scoop him up.”

He went further, suggesting the arrest should be conducted with the same intensity the FBI used when they raided his own home in 2019. “When are 29 FBI agents going to storm his home at six o’clock in the morning, like they did to me?” he asked. For Stone, Brennan’s misdeeds are ongoing and serious—and potentially treasonous.

Stone didn’t stop with Brennan. He said James Comey should also be in custody, claiming that there’s “more than sufficient evidence” to charge both men. And in case critics point to legal barriers, Stone offered a rebuttal: “For those who say, ‘Oh no, the statute of limitations has run out,’ not on the crime of treason it hasn’t.”

On the subject of government transparency, Stone pivoted to the Epstein files and urged Bondi to unseal all grand jury materials and search warrants tied to Epstein’s 2019 indictment. “That will establish exactly what he was doing and who he was doing it with,” Stone said. He criticized the lack of DOJ investigations into other major controversies too—including the origins of COVID-19 and alleged Chinese interference in the 2020 election.

Stone’s broader message was clear: he believes Bondi and Trump’s Justice Department have the opportunity—and the responsibility—to clean house. He called on the Southern District of New York to act decisively, not just against Epstein’s network, but also against U.S. institutions and officials who may have aided or ignored wrongdoing.

Asked to grade Trump’s second term so far, Stone gave him an “A+” and credited him with sealing the border, lifting the economy, and ending DEI initiatives that he claimed were weakening the U.S. military. Stone also noted Trump’s removal of biological males from women’s sports as a victory for fairness and common sense.

On fiscal issues, Stone praised Trump’s economic strategy, touting a surplus and criticizing the Congressional Budget Office’s repeated misjudgments about Trump’s tax policy. He referred to Trump as “a master negotiator” on trade and tariffs and said Trump is now pressuring Jerome Powell to cut interest rates and stimulate housing growth.

Stone wrapped his comments with a rallying cry for the conservative base: “As conservatives, we tend to be purists. We want it all. You can’t always have it all. I’d be happy with 85 to 90 percent, but the president is delivering on issue, after issue, after issue.”

His closing line? “People need to trust Trump. He’s not a politician. He’s a leader of a political movement… and he’s had an amazing track record of being right.”
