White House Blasts CNN Guest Over Trump Health Conspiracy

White House Director of Communications Steven Cheung erupted over the weekend after Daily Beast chief content officer Joanna Coles suggested there was “lots of suspicion” surrounding President Trump’s recent weight loss.

Coles made the comments during Sunday’s episode of CNN’s “Inside Politics” while bizarrely fixating on Trump’s wardrobe choice at Pope Francis’ funeral. She noted Trump wore a blue suit instead of a black one, claiming it fueled speculation about his slimmer appearance.

“I was so fascinated by the whole sort of playing out of the Pope’s funeral… Donald Trump in a blue suit, when we know he has a black suit, because he was wearing a black suit the last time he met the Pope, so why wasn’t he wearing it this time?” Coles rambled. “Lots of suspicion because he’s lost a lot of weight. Who knows how he’s lost weight?”

Coles went on to drag Robert F. Kennedy Jr. into the theory, noting that RFK Jr., now serving in Trump’s cabinet, has criticized weight-loss drugs like Ozempic, implying Trump’s weight loss could be something more sinister.

Cheung immediately clapped back on X, writing, “CNN had this blithering idiot on @InsidePolitics from The Daily Beast named @JoannaColes making unsubstantiated claims about President Trump’s health. Joanna is a piece of sh–, clearly suffering from a debilitating case of Trump Derangement Syndrome rotting her pea-sized brain.”

The White House wasn’t just defending Trump’s appearance — they had medical facts on their side too. Trump’s annual physical results, released earlier this month, showed the president is in excellent health.

Conducted on April 11, the report from Navy Capt. Sean P. Barbabella confirmed that Trump, now 78 years old, is 6’3″ tall, weighs 224 pounds, maintains a resting heart rate of 62 beats per minute, has a blood pressure of 128/74 mmHg, and an oxygen saturation of 99% on room air — all strong indicators of cardiovascular fitness.

“President Trump exhibits excellent cognitive and physical health and is fully fit to execute the duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State,” Barbabella wrote.

In addition to regular appearances, meetings, and press events, Trump’s schedule includes frequent golf outings — where, according to the White House, he scores “frequent victories,” hinting at his continued stamina and competitiveness.

This manufactured media obsession with Trump’s weight is just the latest desperate ploy to distract from his clear successes during his second term. Whether it’s peace efforts abroad, booming manufacturing at home, or cracking down on illegal immigration, Trump’s administration continues to deliver — and his opponents clearly can’t stand it.

The White House’s fierce pushback shows they’re not going to let left-wing media smear jobs go unanswered — especially when the facts are so clearly on Trump’s side.
