We all know Joe Biden isn’t doing too well in both national and state polls. Naturally, his administration is desperately trying to reverse that ahead of the general election, a mere six months out at this point.
And so, they’ve decided to finally make a move in the right direction, at least temporarily.
As the Associated Press reported on Tuesday, the Biden administration has agreed to release one million barrels of gasoline from the Northeast Gasoline Supply Reserve.
If you haven’t heard of this, it’s basically what its name implies.
Established shortly after Superstorm Sandy in 2014 by then-President Barack Obama, it’s designed to be an emergency supply of gasoline for the heavily populated Northeastern section of the US should another storm, refinery outages, pipeline disruptions, etc. take place again.
Thankfully, we’ve never had to tap into those supplies.

But, with gas prices rising out of control in some areas and the Fourth of July quickly approaching, the fear is that those higher-than-average gas prices will only increase as the summer continues to heat up. Naturally, this won’t look too good for Biden, a president who has already told the American people all too many times that these prices are fine and he’s doing a great job.
And right before an election, Biden can’t afford that.

So he’s tapping into the reserve “for the sake of the people.”
Of course, his election pandering is only half of the problem.
The other half is that the 100 million barrels to be released is the entire reserve’s supply. Yep, you read that correctly. As a regional reserve, it’s only ever held 100 million barrels. And there is no plan to ever replenish the reserve. In fact, as part of a broader spending package passed in March, it’s all part of Biden’s war on the energy industry, effectively depleting and then permanently shutting down the reserve.
So much for doing something good for the American people… Turns out, he just wants to make himself look good temporarily and continue his efforts to destroy the US in the process.
