Iranian-Backed Terrorist Plotted to Kill Americans and Jews on U.S. Soil — And Ivanka Trump

An Iraqi national and accused commander of the Iran-backed militia Kata'ib Hizballah has been arrested and charged with six terrorism counts after allegedly orchestrating a bombing and stabbing campaign across Europe and plotting attacks on American soil — including, according to one former Iraqi official, a possible assassination plot against Ivanka Trump. But sure, tell us again how the Iran deal was about "peace."

Nothing says "religion of peace" quite like wiring $3,000 as a down payment to blow up a synagogue in Manhattan.

Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi, 32, was nabbed in Turkey on May 15 and is now sitting in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn ordered him held without bail. According to Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, Al-Saadi "directed and urged others to attack U.S. and Israeli interests and to kill Americans and Jews in the U.S. and abroad." Six terrorism counts. Life in prison on the table. And that's just what we know about so far.

The feds say Al-Saadi launched his campaign of terror beginning in March 2020 — just weeks after President Trump ordered the drone strike that turned Iranian General Qasem Soleimani and Kata'ib Hizballah founder Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis into a memory back in January 2020. Revenge, apparently, was the motive. And the body count Al-Saadi was aiming for is staggering.

We're talking 18 attacks across Europe. Two in Canada. A thwarted bombing of the Bank of America building in Paris on March 28. A stabbing in London on April 29. A planned attack on the Bank of New York Mellon's Amsterdam office. The guy was running a one-man terror franchise.

But the targets on American soil are what should make your blood boil. According to prosecutors, Al-Saadi's hit list included a Manhattan synagogue, a Jewish center in Los Angeles, and another Jewish center in Scottsdale, Arizona. He allegedly agreed to pay $10,000 to have attacks carried out — wiring that $3,000 down payment to get things rolling. Thank God none of the U.S. attacks were carried out.

Then there's the Ivanka angle. Former Iraqi deputy military attaché Entifadh Qanbar told the New York Post that Al-Saadi had also allegedly targeted Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner, reportedly posting a threatening image on X back in 2021 referencing the family's Florida home. Now, that claim hasn't been included in the formal charges, and we should note it comes from a single source. But if even half of it is true, we're talking about an Iranian proxy militia targeting the daughter of the President of the United States.

Let that sink in.

Remember when the entire media establishment melted down over the Soleimani strike? Remember how we were told it was "reckless" and would "start World War III"? Turns out the guy Trump vaporized was running a network that wanted to bomb synagogues in Manhattan and possibly kill his daughter. Funny how that context never makes it into the retrospectives.

Al-Saadi faces life in prison if convicted on the conspiracy to bomb charge alone. He's not getting out. And the fact that Turkey cooperated in the arrest tells you something about how serious the intelligence was.

This is what the Iranian regime funds. This is what they export. Not "diplomacy." Not "regional stability." Bomb plots against Jewish centers and assassination schemes against American families. Every dollar that flowed to Tehran under the previous administration's nuclear deal found its way into operations exactly like this one.

President Trump took out Soleimani. The establishment howled. And now we're arresting Soleimani's disciples for plotting mass murder on American streets. History has a way of proving Trump right, doesn't it?
