Ocasio-Cortez declared war on social media, claiming the highest court in the land has succumbed to a full-blown “corruption crisis” – conveniently ignoring the fact that even left-leaning Justices dissented strongly against the majority opinion.
She ranted further, labeling the verdict as nothing short of an “assault on American democracy.” In true demagogic fashion, she proclaimed, “It is up to Congress to defend our nation from this authoritarian capture.” And then dropped the bombshell: “I intend on filing articles of impeachment upon our return” – targeting unspecified Supreme Court Justices behind the controversial ruling.
This brazen attempt to undermine the judiciary echoes similar sentiments voiced by none other than current POTUS Joe Biden himself, fretting about potential abuse of executive authority if allowed unfettered.

Back when President Thomas Jefferson spearheaded efforts dismantling the nascent Judicial Branch expansion plans championed by rival Federalists, particularly Justice Chase. The latter vociferously opposed these moves, drawing ire from both Jeffersonians controlling Congress post-election and eventually facing Articles of Impeachment themselves!
Justice Chase stood accused of ‘prostituting’ his impartiality during trials due to perceived bias towards certain defendants. He countered claims saying those allegations stemmed purely out of politics. Eventually acquitted but tarnished nonetheless, Chase returned to duty only to pass away six years later.
Fast-forward to present day Washington D.C., where Congressional divisions run so deep that such drastic measures seem increasingly unlikely despite fiery rhetoric emanating primarily from radical corners like Ms. Ocasio-Cortez’.
